Marsha Powell, trained as an architect, has been working with metal for the past 15 years. She has studied with masters in metalsmithing, enameling and welding throughout the world.
Her work has been published in 500 Enameled Objects (Lark Books) and has been included in numerous juried exhibitions at the Craft Students League, 92nd Street Y, and the Art Students League of New York.
She has moved from making small sculptural jewelry pieces to forming larger vessels and other sculptural objects. Enameling has enabled her to add color to the shapes. Recently, she has started combining enamels with even larger welded pieces.
